"Dan, I need you..."

This is now perhaps my favorite phrase in the English language (or any language for that matter). It was uttered by Kristen around noon on Sunday, April 25, 2010 (as her water broke), and signaled the start of what would become Sydney Lee Chase's first day of life!

Who knew bubbles could be so much fun?

As we approach Baby-Girl's due date we find ourselves looking for ways to keep from going mad anticipating her arrival. Turns out a trip to Target and the subsequent purchase of a $5.00 bubble gun has provided much needed entertainment; we felt compelled to share - enjoy! :-)

39 Weeks and Growing Strong :-)

The report from the doctor yesterday was all good news - Baby Girl's heartbeat is nice and strong, she's head down, and Momma is doing fine! We are still anxiously awaiting her arrival; but as we get ready to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary tomorrow, have mixed emotions about when she should arrive; probably means she's going to show up tomorrow since it's the first time we aren't really hoping for her to get here :-).

The Bassinet

Dan and his dad have spent many long hours building a homemade bassinet for Baby Girl. They started back around Thanksgiving and over the course of several weekends went from this:

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! We'll be using this blog to keep our family and friends up to date on all of the goings-on in the Chase household.

We're only a couple of weeks away (hopefully less!) from the arrival of our little girl and couldn't be more excited.... the nursery is ready and all we are waiting on is for Baby Girl to decide that she is ready to join us.
