4 month stats

Sydney had her 4 month check up this morning and got rave reviews by the doctor.

Getting her head measured: 16 1/4 inches (55th percentile)

Checking her height/length: 24 3/4 inches long! No wonder those onesies aren't fitting any more. (the 63rd percentile)

Attempting to scoot off of the scale during her weight check.... 14 lbs 8.5 oz. (65th percentile)

As you can tell, we hated checking both our length and our weight. Sydney proceeded to scream for the next 15 minutes as we waited for the doctor to come in the room. Fabulous. Apologies to anyone who was within 10 miles of our doctor's office this morning as you probably heard our child screaming.

She did manage to settle a bit when Dr. C came in the room. Sydney then proceeded to 'talk' to the doctor... it was quite entertaining... it was as if she was telling the doctor her sad story about having to get her length and weight checked.

After her checkup, it was shot time. Sydney did as well as can be expected with her shots. She got one in each leg and had a delayed cry after they went in, followed by screaming.

We did get the okay to start on rice cereal and other solid foods... I'm sure those will provide quite entertaining posts in the days and weeks to come. Stay tuned! :)

4 months old

Sydney is 4 months old today... our doctor's appointment is next week, so the official stats will have to wait until then, but until then, I leave you with these:

"Happy 4 month birthday to me!"

they are more fun to look at."

Cutie Pie

The nursery ladies at church made Sydney a hat and booties...I think they are trying to bribe us into leaving her with them on Sunday mornings :)

When we got these, I thought: "Sweet... awesome photo shoot opportunity".... In case you have forgotten, mom often finds these photo shoots more fun than Sydney does. This should be a good reminder if you have forgotten.

So, I dressed Sydney in her new booties and hat:

She promptly began kicking her feet to get the booties off, wriggling her head to make the hat work its way off of her head and pulling at her bloomers as if to say 'get these off'. Oh and she stuck her tongue out at me.

Point taken, Baby Girl.
